The Variety Of Dog Crates You Can Choose From

Making a choice on dog crates may seem overwhelming especially if you do not know what to purchase. Do not go buying the first crate you come across. This is because they come in a variety of styles so that you can best select what would be most suitable to your needs. So what are the different dog crates in the market that you could choose from?

Plastic dog crates

These crates are quite sturdy. You can rest assured that your pet will be secure when travellling in it, whether on the road or by plane. In addition to this, these crates are easy to maintain and clean. Which is a plus considering that pets can create quite the mess. One thing to note, though, is that a solid crate cannot be folded. As such, they tend to be bulky and can take up quite a bit of space when they are not being used.

Aluminum dog crates

A great advantage of aluminum as a material is that these crates are foldable. They can be discreetly put away when your pet is not using it. Since they are made from aluminum, you do not have to worry about the crate rusting when exposed to water or humidity. Aluminum crates are also well ventilated, and your pet can get a peek at what is going on around them since they will not be confined in a solid enclosure. Veterinarians generally use these types of crates, but you can opt to use it as a den for your pet in your home.

Soft crates

These dog crates are made from canvas material. They are a wonderful, portable option because they can be easily folded up and stored away when not in use. In addition to this, the soft crates promote good airflow so you can rest assured that your dog will be in a well-ventilated space. The downside to these types of crates is that they can be punctured easily. Hence, they do not make a good option for dogs that like chewing their way through things or have a tendency to scratch.

Wire mesh crates

Compared to other alternatives, the wire-mesh dog crates tend to be on the heavier side. Nevertheless, they are good for pet owners who only use them to transport their dog because they can be folded up and stored when they are not in use. Wire mesh crates are open on all sides promoting good airflow while giving your dog views all around.
